New Library News
Construction on the new building continues! Dozens of Friends of the Library members toured the building in early September and marveled at the size of the new facility and meeting room space. The expected completion date for the new library is mid-December, with a grand opening planned for January 2013. See our facebook page photo albums to follow the library's progress.
Lakeway/Lake Travis Rotary Club Donates Funds
The Rotary Club made their final installment of $16,667 towards their $50,000 pledge to the capital campaign on June 5th. Thank you, generous Rotarians!
Over 50 people turned out for the groundbreaking ceremony on April 25th. Thank you for helping us celebrate this important occasion! The new library is being built at 1938 Lohmans Crossing in Lakeway. To see more pictures from the event, please see our photo album on our facebook page. Lake Travis Lions Club Donation
The Lake Travis Lions Club donated $4,700 to the Library’s Invest in Lifelong Learning Capital Campaign! The money was raised at the Spaghetti Supper in February. Lions Club Hosts Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser
The Lake Travis Lions Club hosted a Spaghetti Supper Benefit for the library in February 2012. Terrific food, great tunes from the Lake Travis High School Jazz Ensemble, excellent company, and a good time was had by all!

Land at Last, the Deed is Done!
Lake Travis Community Library is thrilled to announce that we have the deed to the land for the new building! Generous donor Haythem Dawlett and the LTCL Board of Trustees signed the official documents on March 3, 2011. Schematic Floor Plan Approved
The Lake Travis Community Library Board of Trustees approved the Schematic Floor Plan for the new library! The 10,862 square foot building plans of the interior were approved at the Board meeting on November 21, 2009. Now, the fundraising begins! Please contact the library to donate to this worthy cause or download the Letter of Intent form to pledge to the library. We can't wait to make this dream a reality!
2012 Dancing with the Stars Gala
Thank you to all who participated in the 2012 Dancing with the Stars Gala! Kristin Holt and professional partner Randy Ferguson took first place, Mallory Voorheis and José Garcia were awarded second place, and Jaime Bush and Mike Boston came in third. 2010 Dancing with the Stars Gala
Congratulations to Police Chief Todd Radford and partner Tammie Rucker for winning first place in the 2010 Dancing with the Stars competition! Rotary Club of Lakeway/Lake Travis Donate $50,000
The Dancing with the Stars Gala on Sunday, October 3, 2010 was a huge success! The Rotary Club of Lakeway/Lake Travis announced a gift of $50,000 to the Invest in Lifelong Learning capital campaign to bring us over halfway to reaching our goal of a million dollars.
Friends of LTCL Give $100,000 to Capital Campaign
The Friends of Lake Travis Community Library presented a check for $80,000 to the LTCL Board of Trustees on February 8, 2010. In 2011, they increased their donation to an even $100,000. Jon and Joyce Champeny Donate $50,000
A check from the Champenys was presented at the Library Board meeting on October 13, 2008. The money was given in honor of their grandchildren, all teenagers, and will be used to fund the new Teen Room. "It is truly exciting that this donation is in recognition of your grandchildren," said Library Board President Carol Black. In addition, the Board presented a plaque to the Champenys thanking them for their generous contribution.
