Friends of the Library

On April 26th, the Friends of the Library took their first ever Road Trip!  Almost twenty people had a lovely time visiting the Bamberger Ranch.  Stay tuned for information about another Library Road Trip to Bastrop in December!

Become a Friend of the Library!

Help support the library by joining the Friends group!  Fill out this form and return it to the circulation desk or mail it to the library.

The Friends of the Lake Travis Community Library provide volunteer service to the Lake Travis Community Library. Read the Bylaws. For information call (512) 263-2885 or email friends@LakeTravisLibrary.org.

Meetings:  The Friends of the Library meet monthly, usually on the third Thursday of each month.  The meetings are at 9:30am at the library.  Read the minutes for more information.  Also, review the approved Friends 2012 Budget.

Volunteer Opportunities: The library is always in need of volunteers.  Volunteers work in three hour shifts assisting the staff with library tasks, including shelving books and checking books in and out for patrons.  If you are not able to volunteer on a regular basis, there are other opportunities available.  If you would like to help with the children's story time, plan special events, or help with our special programs, please contact us!  Fill out the Volunteer Form and bring it by the library to meet us and get acquainted.

Randall's Good Neighbor Program

Get a Randall's Remarkable Card and ask them to add program #878.  Randall's will donate a percentage of your spending to the library.  Fill out this form and bring it to the store.  Thank you for supporting the library!

Teen Service Scholarship: The Friends sponsor a $2,000 Service Scholarship to an eligible graduating senior.  See the Teen page for more information.

Donations: The Friends of the Library accept donations of books, as well as monetary donations.  Book donations may be added to the library collection, or sold to raise funds for library purchases.  For cash donations, you can either donate online or write a check to the Friends of the Library.  Other ways to help fund library projects:
