Computer Help at the Library every Thursday at 9am

Do you need help opening an email account?  Do you know how to search on the Internet?  Can you add an attachment to a Word document?  Starting in October, come to the library on Thursday mornings before library opens from 9 - 10am for basic computer help!

Computer Procedures at the Library

Patrons must make a reservation at the circulation desk to use a computer and time is limited to one hour.  It can be extended if no one is waiting. 

Printing is also available and you can choose black and white or color.  Black and white copies cost $.10 per page and color copies cost $.25 per page.  You can also choose to save paper by printing duplex. 

If you have a laptop, you can download a print client when you are in the library that will allow you to print to the library's printer and pay the same fees. When you download the print client, a file will save on your computer. Double click the file to install four virtual printers (you will be asked to save each one). Choose one of the printers when you are ready to print and enter your library card number or "GUEST" to submit the print job. A window will appear letting you know the total cost of your print outs.

Computer Scanner

The library has a flatbed scanner for public use.  It can be used for scanning documents and photos and includes photo editing software such as ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5.5, Canon CanoScan 8800F, Presto! PageManager 7.15, ScanSoft OmniPage SE 4, and Adobe Photoshop Element 5.0.  All public computers at the library have Microsoft Office, Power DVD, Adobe Reader 9, and Mozilla Firefox.  Just ask for a reservation at the front desk for computer five if you want to use the scanner!
