Preschoolers are invited to enjoy stories, finger plays, poems,
songs and crafts.
Tales for Tots: ages 2-3
Tuesdays at 10:30am
Toddlers are invited to attend story time with books, finger
plays, flannel board stories
and songs.
ABC's of Cooking: ages 5-10
Third Tuesday of the month at 3:45pm
Come prepare healthy snacks and learn fun facts about food and
nutrition.
PJ Story Time: all ages
Third Tuesday of the month at
6:15pm Come snuggle in your pajamas for bedtime stories!
Book
Babies: ages 3-24 months
Wednesdays at 10:30am
Bounce, sing, and clap with your child in their first library
experience. This 20 minute
program promotes parent/child
interaction and includes a blend of books, finger plays
and
songs.
Little Yoga: ages
3-6
Third Thursday of the month at 10:30am
Experience exercise in a mellow environment. Let's
get moving!
Bow Wow
Reading: ages 6-12
Third Saturday of the month from 10:30am to 1pm
Read with a certified therapy dog!
ABC's
of Cooking, Third Tuesday of the month at 3:45pm
Cooking Classes for 5
to 10 year olds will
be held at the library every third Tuesday of the month
at 3:45pm.
Librarian Sue Gilman will teach youngsters simple
recipes such as tortilla snowflakes, solar powered
s’mores, and ladybugs on a log. She will also
incorporate lessons about healthy eating habits and
nutrition. It’s guaranteed fun!
Little
Yoga, Third Thursday of the month at 10:30am
The third Thursday of every month, 3 to 6 year olds are
invited to join Little Yoga at 10:30am. This 30
minute class allows children to experience exercise in a
mellow environment. With adult participation, we
will practice breathing and age appropriate stretching.
Let's get moving!
Bow Wow Reading, Third
Saturday of the month from 10:30am to 1pm
In
partnership with the Austin Dog Alliance, Lake Travis
Community Library offers Bow Wow Reading every third
Saturday of the month from 10:30am to 1pm. This
program allows 6 to 12 year olds to improve their
reading skills by practicing reading to a dog! Sign up
for an individual 15 minute session on a first come,
first served basis. Pepper and Oakley would love to
meet you!
Mother-Daughter Book Club
Mothers and their 2nd-5th
grade daughters are invited to join a book
group for treats, togetherness, and book discussion. The next meeting is on Sunday,
February 19th at 2pm to discuss Riding Freedom by
Pam Muños
Ryan. On Sunday, March 25th at 2pm, the group will
discuss Half Magic by Edward Eager. Join us!

Learn new rhymes and fingerplays to practice with your

Early Literacy and PBS provides dozens of short one
minute videos that model songs, rhymes, and fingerplays
appropriate for early childhood. Each video clip
includes helpful early literacy tips to increase
caregivers’ understanding of child development and
pre-literacy needs. Check it out!
