community receives in $7.52 in materials and services.

Silpada Jewelry
Party Fundraiser - Tuesday, February 7th
Do you need to purchase something for a
valentine? Update your jewelry? You can do both and support
the library! Attend the Silpada Jewelry Party Fundraiser on
Tuesday, February 7th from 1 to 3pm and 6 to 9pm! The party
will be held at Stacey Becker's home at 104 Confidence Cove
and all proceeds will go towards the Invest in Lifelong
Learning Capital Campaign. If you aren't able to come to
the party, you can still shop online! Go to
www.mysilpada.com/stacey.becker to see the virtual
jewelry box. When you check out, please be sure to click
"Support Lake Travis Community Library." Please contact the library

Lakeway/Lake Travis Rotary Club Donates
Funds
The Rotary Club
made their second installment of $16,667 towards their
$50,000 pledge to the capital campaign on January 18th.

Lake Travis Reads Jeff
Abbott
Best-selling author Jeff Abbott will be
the featured author for the 2012
Lake Travis Reads, the “One
Book, One Community” program now in its fifth year.
Co-sponsored by Lake Travis Community Library, Bee Cave
Public Library, and Spicewood Community Library,
Lake Travis
Reads encourages the community to read from the
acclaimed author’s body of work and then meet the author at
a special evening event on Thursday, February 23rd at 7pm.
We have multiple copies of his books at the library - be
sure to participate!
Library Pathway of
Friends
Who will you honor with a brick in the new library building? You have the
opportunity to have your name, or that of someone you know
and love, forever immortalized in the Library Pathway of
Friends. There are three different sizes of bricks
available starting at a $125 donation. Please consider
adding a name to the
Library Pathway of Friends.
Flying Whale Tech Help - Saturday, January 28th from 12 -
2pm
Is
there something about your laptop, tablet, cell phone, or
digital camera that has you stumped? Get assistance from
LTHS senior and computer science student John. Come with
your device and receive help with any technical issues.

InRoads Presents College Planning - Tuesday, January 31st
at 6pm
Learn what it takes to
find the right college fit for your student, at the lowest
cost! Get the inside scoop on how to beat today’s college
costs, what colleges are looking for, and three simple rules

OverDrive Digital Library Training - Thursday, February 2nd

Download eBooks, audiobooks, music, and video anytime,
anywhere - for free! You can access the library's new
Digital Library
to download media to a PC, Mac, and most mobile devices. At
the end of the lending period your media checkouts expire so
there are no late fees - ever! See this
guide for
helpful tips to getting started, or go directly to the
Digital Library
that includes many help features. For an introduction to the
Digital Library or help troubleshooting with your device,
come to the library on Thursday, February 2nd at 9am. Or,
schedule an appointment for computer help on Thursday
mornings.
